In 2015, Brandi found passion and love in our school system by fulfilling the nursing needs of many schools in the parish. She is happy to have made a home here at SLU Lab School for the past five years and takes pride in working at our school to care for and assist our staff and students. She loves the relationships she has developed and the part she has played in establishing continuity of care, both of which have helped maintain a healthy and safe environment for everyone on campus. Brandi is also responsible for providing nursing services at another school in the parish and conducting the medication trainings for TPSS staff members. Her daughter, Lani, is a Lab School first grader. She and her husband also have a son, Danny. She is proud to be a part of the Lab School family and looks forward to another year as our registered nurse...Go Cubs!
This past school year, Nurse Brandi was named a national winner in the LifeChanger of the Year contest. Brandi was selected from more than 850 nominees from across the United States.
Nurse Brandi truly is a Life Changer!!
Brandi started her work in the medical field in 2002 as a licensed practical nurse. Later, while still working full time, she went back to school to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing to become a registered nurse. She is currently a member of the District LA4 hearing and vision team and is a certified CPR instructor who assists in AED team trainings across the parish.
